Reaching Casa Solares you immediately have the impression to arrive in an oasys of beauty and peace. Along the main entrance path the guest is surrounded by citrus plant of clementine, and especially during the blooming phase you will have the sensation to be in a parfum lab.

 

Casa Solares belongs to the Toscano Mandatoriccio Mascaro’s family that for centuries has been the center of agriculture activities; in the past the family had its own oil mill with its precious oil “la Dolce di Rossano” now Igp product. In the past years the farm specialized its business with clementine production and commercialize its own product to the biggest supermarket chains in Italy. The family, with the new generation, that always believes on family business has created a beautiful guest house called Casa Solares a charming little hotel where hospitality is at first place.

Our passion

Visitors at Casa Solares will spend a vacation relaxing between sea and countryside. Our private beach is few minutes walking and you can admire the beautiful and clear water of the Ionian sea. At Casa Solares you can try fantastic gourmet food from our restaurant “Aranceto”. During summer you can try a unique experience dining in the beautiful citrus garden surrounded by flower essences. Our restaurant is specialized most of all in fish receipes keeping calabrian cooking tradition. Main courses are served with parmigiana, eggplant from our kitchen gardens, or fantastic Rossanese tomatoes salad with Tropea onion and olive “Dolce Di Rossano”. As everyone loves our kitchen we do started cooking classes for our guests, very interesting and useful. The property has got a little small church where mass is celebrated every Sunday and on reservation the guest can also visit the old palace. If you want to get acquainted with agriculture there are guided tours with the agronomist who will explain how to grow citrus and its techniques.
